Huntdown is a game you can easily get lost in and is a true example of how to do the genre. Levels have checkpoints and boss fights are big set-piece arenas. You have 3 wildly different characters to play as and you can change between them. You take bounties on these bosses and hunt them down any way necessary, occasionally it will sprinkle in some additional genres. I just love how the game plays out, the interaction with the world is interesting, Sure the gameplay has been done a lot before but it’s the fluidity, the style that makes this a game you want to play but also keeps playing.
